Hi. I have the above motherboard running with athlon 3000+. It was working okay until I shoved 1GB DDR 400 ram in in. Smelt some plastic burning and turned it off. The machine turns on and the hard drive activity light doesnt go off. There is no beep when I turn it on and it seems to search CD and Floppy then loops all the time. No display on the monitor. I tried a different graphics card and tried all the removable components and ram in another machine. They all work. But when I put them back in the 939, there is nothing but the hard drive light. It is like it is trying to boot and cant get there. I cleared the CMOS but still nothing. Do I buy a new board or chip or both. Help.
