Hi, I have a ASROCK Mobo AM2NF6G VSTA and the lan port was not functioning. Is is a new pc that I have built myself, I thought it may be something simple so I went to the ASROCK site and sure enought,. there was mention of the problem I am having alng with a solution, it mentioned doing a bios update which i tried, i loaded the program but it crashed before the program had a change to run, I have to reboot the pc as I was getting the blue screen of death, now when I switch the pc one, I get all the power etc but it seems that the mobo is not putting out a signal as the monitor does not come to life, I have tried a different monitor and it works so I am guessing its something to do with the failed bios, Any suggestions? Thanks
So if you attach another monitor, then it works? Try to connect that monitor to another pc, and see what it does.
HI, no - what happens is I get the same problem, I was refering to the monitor not being at fault - sorry is that was clear, any suggestions?
It looks like the bios has failed working correctly. Look at the website of Asrock for instructions how to reinstall or restore the default driver for your bios.
i don't really understand, are you saying you did a BIOS flash / upgrade but it failed if that is correct, you've turned your mobo into a very pretty paper weight[ot]mobo dead, flashing the BIOS is only to be done as a last resort unless you know a BIOS flash will fix a problem[/ot]
I've flashed my bios once, and it failed. I could buy a new mobo, because I didn't made any backups. btw I don't really like mobos from ASrock.
