ATi RS480 for Socket 939

    The Inquirer is saying ATi's holding off on releasing their RS480 chipset until later this year when PCIe is more mainstream.

    This is why the RS480, its little pony, was restrained until Q3 and it's likely that you will be able to see some design wins very soon. Actually ALI was showing this chipset at Computex since it can use ALI's Southbridge but we know that ATI is working on its own south bridge as well.

    ATi's Radeon 9100 IGP is the best chipset when it comes to integrated video, so I'd say the RS480 could be giving the upcoming nForce 4 a run for the money.
    Always a good thing.
