    Hi,

I received a machine a few weeks ago that was reported to be broken. The capacitors looked shot so I ordered a couple to replace them. Shortly after, I found an identical board lying around that I could use instead, so I did. When I got it, it booted up just fine but the caps looked like they were on their last legs, so I grabbed my soldering iron and put in the new caps.

Maybe not so surprisingly, the system wouldn't boot anymore. I checked my connections and for solder splashes and it looks clean. When I power it on, the fans will run but there's no video output. Could it be that I wiped the BIOS or something else? The board is an Asus A7M266-D.

    TIA.
