I'm new here and would like to thank anyone for their input on this matter. I have an Acer Desktop Model AM5640-U5401 Specs:
- E1260 Intel Dual Core Processor
- 3gb DDR2
- 250gb HD
- Running Vista Home Premium
Here is my problem, it was working perfect but while in the process of burning a dual layer DVD it locked up. Did a hard shutdown (press and held the power button until shutoff). Waited a sec, then powered back on. Now the computer will boot the BIOS just fine... but will blue screen instantly after the BIOS then reboot itself and do this over and over and over and over unless I stop it. It blue screens and restarts so fast I can't read any errors off the blue screen. I pulled the hard drive and stuck it in a different tower and it booted up just fine. Pulled the ram and did one at a time and switched slots while doing it. Unplugged everything except the hard drive and still no boot. Any ideas?? Not to mention this happened less than a week after the 1 yr warranty expired... but thats a whole nother story... so before I take this to someone to fix it... can anyone tell me whats wrong and could I possibly fix it myself? Thanks again!

EDIT: Just have been trying different things still... seems that the blue screening is gone, but still in an endless reboot loop. It boots past the BIOS... then asks me how I want to start my computer, you know "safe mode" "safe mode with networking" "start windows normally" etc... i have tried them all. They all make the hard drive work for a sec... then the infamous reboot back to the same screen. I just tried a CMOS reset... nothing still
