Experts, I am building a desktop with the intention of gaming casually COD4 Modern Warfare to take the load off of my failing Inspiron 1420 Laptop which was shipped with a faulty integrated Nvidia GPU. I intend on using: Intel ATX mainboard with LGA775 socket. I am deliberately on a low budget as I am not too serious about the power of this PC but I don't want It to crash fraud and burn on me after 1 month of usage. Tese components seem powerful enough and are affordable to me given the current prices of similar components. Please give me any advice you can on buying other parts, compatibility, known issues, ANYTHING. Thanks
upgrade the GPU to a GTX 260 fairly cheap now about £110. The motherboard is a no go. absolute crap. you need to invest in a decent board, one with dual channel memory config. GIGABYTE - Product - Motherboard - Specification - GA-EP45-UD3L (rev. 1.0) something like that. Dual channel 4gb memory kit, prefferably Corsair, G-Skill, OCZ. 64 bit operating system.
