Hi, I am looking at purchasing an HP Envy 14 Beats Edition laptop for college use. I am also an avid gamer (mainly WoW) and I was wondering if this laptop will give me the performance I need to play many games on max settings, and also have a good battery life while not playing HQ games (i know i will not get a long of battery life if i am playing games on Max settings on battery power, but battery life in word processing, surfing the web, etc. is what i was referring to). I plan to go all out for this laptop, and get the best specs (Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-840QM Quad Core processor, 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD 5650 Graphics [HDMI] - For Quad Core Processors, 8GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm), 640GB 7200RPM Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection, and One 8 Cell Lithium Ion (standard) + HP ENVY 6-cell Slim Fit Extended-Life Battery (over-sized)). Also the max resolution available is 1366x768, so do u think that it will be ok for gaming use? Do you think it would be worth it for me to get the Quad core processor and sacrifice my battery life. I will play HQ games when the laptop is plugged in , but i was just wondering if my battery will last around my campus if I'm just typing some documents and surfing the web. If anyone else has any good idea of another laptop with my desired needs (good battery life, mobile, great gaming laptop, and fast) I would love to hear your suggestions. Thank you!
