Hey I'm a first time user for this forum and don't know if anyone will help me but I'll try. So I have this Acer laptop, which is a extensa 5420 and somehow the dvd drive won't show up on my computer. It will do operations such as opening and closing the drive but it wont read anything and the computer won't even recognize that it is installed. I want try to open my laptop up to see if anything is weird in there but I don't know if it is worth opening my laptop since I don't know what will happen if I do. Can anyone help me with this matter?
