I have a CD-RW Teac CD-W540E. Since I installed the latest firmware update, from the original site, it has gone mad. Now I can't even write a CD, I can't boot on a CD, but I can read them. What can I do about it?

In windows go to Device manager and unintall the device. It should disappear from My Computer and device manager. Then in CP go to add new hardware and let it scan for recently added hardware. choose your drive and click next and let windows install its own generic drivers.

Its not recommended that you install firmware when not needed, firmware does have some risks if not installed correctly.
