i have SP2 Pro and i read in an earlier post about it being a Win Pro thing but i actually think its more of a chipset controller thing. For example on my previous board, i used the nvidia controller and i didn't get a safely remove hardware icon. But now i'm using the gigabyte controller and i have the icon. Just wondering if anybody had anything similar
I believe the icon appears when windows identifies a certain removable device, like a media card reader or my hdds for instance. you most likely have different hardware (other than your mobo) than previously, or you just had the icon hidden it can be answered when you ask yourself what it's telling you can be safely removed
right, i know its the harddrive, it was just said that in a previous post that the safely remove hardware for SATA HDD's only appears in win XP Pro, and i didn't appear for me when it was on the nvidia conrtoller. like i said in the first post
