Have put together the components for a computer and have them in “Saved Carts” at ZipZoomFly and NewEgg. Before I commit my plastic to this project, I feel I should run my choices by people that are a good bit better informed and more experienced than I am.

This is my first computer build and I would very much appreciate a look over to check if I’ve made any compatibility mistakes. I think I’ve done my homework but in the end, well, I’d just like another opinion(s).

    Cooler Master Praetorian PAC-T101-EK
OCZ ModStream OCZ52012U ATX 520 Watts
    ASUS P5WD2 Premium 955x W/O Wifi-TV Bundle
    Intel P4 650 @ 3.4 GHZ
    Corsair TWIN2X1024A-6400 1GB DDR2-800
ATI Radeon X800 XL PCI Express 256MB DDR3
    (2)Western Digital Caviar SE16-WD2500 SATA2 w/ 16MB Cache
    Lite-On CD/DVD Burner SOHW-1693S Black
    Lite-On 16X DVD-ROM CD Burner SOHC-5236K Black

Will be using the computer for Photoshop (Novice digital photographer), MS FlightSim (am pilot) and Internet..
Will probably do aviation related simulation games if this setup permits.
    Broadband @ 6mb and soon to 12mb.

Intend on experimenting with light to moderate OC’ing in small steps.

    Thanks,

    DoGan

That system will definately do anything you throw at it. Almost perfect for photoshop and the like. Excellent RAM too!

Well I imagine you bought this by now but I'll just say that it's a very good setup that should last a little while now. I personally would have gone with AMD myself, a 3500+ processor, or maybe a dual core 3800 X2, both get very good marks and can handle exactly what you need with out breaking a sweat.
