I have an MP3 player, Digital camera, and a USB storage device I got with my AR Max.
All of these create their own drive when connected, however, the computer freezes when they attempt to do so. I tried restarting the computer with one of them still connected, and then Windows won't even load. I've tried the MP3 player on other computers to be sure the problem isnt the removable drives, and it works fine on other computers.
I also know it's not a problem with the USB slots because I have a webcam that works fine.
My only guess is somehow the drives just can't be created, but I've no clue why. I've checked my config.sys and the lastdrive = M, so I'm stumped.
The only clue I've got isthat the problems didn't start until I tried installing the Digital camera, but plugged it into the USB prior to installation. Any suggestions?
Win98SE, 224MB RAM, Pentium II (dont make fun :-p i need the storage devices to transfer these files to my new computer)
