Hello hardwareforums!!!
Im new here so please tell me if i m doing something wrong.
Before i start, i just want to tell that i am german and i dont speak english perfectly. I try my best with my english. ;)

Here is my problem:

My computer freezes everytime when i start a "busy" aplication like: HD Videos on youtube or playing COD2 or WS-enemy territory.
It freezes randomly.
Sometimes after 2hrs. sometimes after 2 minutes.
The picture just freezes...no sound...no HDD-LED...no bluescreen...nothing

the only thing i can do is to unplug the power and restart.
i can leave my computer on for a whole day on and i wont freeze, just when the system is busy.

MY HARDWARE: (I know its a old one, but it boots up in 16 sec!)

MSI-6390 Motherboard
AMD ATHLON 2400+ 2GHz (FSB=266Mhz) not overclocked (Socket 462)

and 1x passive gpu cooler

I already tryed:
different CPU (AMD athlon 1000)
diferrent RAM with different frequency
different Graphic Card
different Power suply (350 Watt)
different CPU coolers
different HDD
different -mouse-keyboard-speakers-monitor-wifi card
different drivers

NOTHING WORKED!!!!!!!!

Thank u for reading!!!!!
Hope i get help....

....I forgot to tell my TEMPS: My athlon 2400+ has a temperature between 122 and 151 fahrenheit
System temp is 86 fahrenheit constant
and HDD is 80 fahrenheit

have you tried running programs like Prime95 and Memtest? I think that those like to create log files, so that you can later (ie when you have to restart the computer after the freeze, if one happens) see maybe what the cause was.

the cpu temps are a bit on the high side, but the older AMDs where never cool CPU's

I alredy tried memory and hdd diagnostic tools.-----i know my cpu is a little bit warmer, but the athlons get hot realy easily---- ialready tried a amd 1000 with a 92 fahrenheit temp and the system freezed again
Didnt found any errors.
I already installed XP like3 times new.
NOTHING!!! :(

BUT THANKS FOR HELPING!!!

I CANT PLAY any games.... buhuhuhuhuh :(

Please help me figure out what the problem is.

I finaly figured it out!!!!
It was a conflict between my msi board and my netgear wg311t and my msi motherboard.

BUT THANKS FOR TRYING TO HELP ME!!!!!

AWESOME FORUM HERE!!!!! :good:

I recall an older Netgear NIC causing problems with some chipsets back in the day, and if I'm thinking of the right one that's the one that had trouble with some AMD socket A chipsets.

YEAH Netgear sux!!!!
I got me an other pci wifi card (linksys Wireless B adapter).
I know its just 11mbps, but hey NEW for $15 and 1 year warranty.

Finally i can start killing some axis online!!!!! :gun: :sniper: :guns: :soldier: :smahd:
