my computer began freezing constantly recently (to the point where i can't even move the mouse pointer on the screen and have to hit the reset button on the computer case) and i discovered that the memory modules aren't always being recognized during POST after i have tried reseating them (and they are being reseated properly).. i bought new modules (same type and speed) but i had the same issue.. i'm wondering if this would be an indication of the memory slots having an issue- i tried clearing out the slots with compressed air but that didn't help.

    any ideas?

    thanks.

sound like a hardware conflict somewhere, How old is this PC ? It might be the motherboard going bad.. have you tried using one memory stick to see if that might help?
