Intel has a new king of the hill processor, the QX6850, which, among other things, sports a snazzy 1333MHz FSB--quad-pumped, of course. The launch of CPUs with 1333MHz bus to the market, put the final touch onto shaping up the processor family on Core micro-architecture. The next big change in the Intel desktop segment is planned for next year, when new Penryn solutions with 45nm cores are scheduled to come out.
