Hey guys, I'm almost positive my hd has died or is in the process as it makes weird noises and wont load my OS...windows pops up and states that a recent hardware change has resulted in an error etc. and I need to repair (it wont load windows at all). I put in a live cd to try and save my data but it crashes every single time which has never happened before. Sometimes it will load to the live cd desktop, but other times it will crash upon loading as if my monitor has lost connectivity. I thought it was just my hd, but does this mean that my optical drive is going as well? maybe just that the cd accessing the data is causing it to crash? I'm absolutely clueless Thanks for any help/info anyone can give!!
