delete items

hi there dudes, i wana know if there are any softwares that can actually 'grab back' the files u have deleted..i deleted some files which i shouldnt have by mistake...i used the 'shift delete'....n then i banged my head on the monitor....

As far as I know, once you delete something and it's gone from your Recycle Bin, it's gone until you reinstall the software.

I know Norton SystemWorks has an undelete feature in the suite, but quite honestly, Norton stuff has a bad tendency to screw with your system and 'fix' things that don't need it. I don't know if Symantec has a demo of SW or not, but that could be something to try. I've also heard about a program called Undelete, but I don't know anything more than the name.

I do remember using Undelete, it was able to recover all my mp3 albums but they were all corrupt...

I'm not aware of any good ones which are freeware, do a search on googe [google]undelete[/google]
