Dell 4500 graphics

OK, I have a Dell 4500 and the existing graphics is begging to be upgraded as the tft screen is ramdomly going yellow on this pc but is fine on another using the same leads so i think i'm right in my deduction that the existing graphics are waving adios! (Take a breath) This is where my vast technical knowledge stops!
My Question to those who know is, which one? As in which one will fit which one is compatable with the Dell power supply, I'm not sure the wattage of mine but I'm led to believe it is important.
I am not looking for a card that could land me on the moon but just something for a middle of the road get the job done type. I bow to your greater knowledge and all replies will be appreciated. Many thanks
 
The specs I have seen suggest you have AGP 2x/4x - you'll need to get a compatible card, what's your budget?

Your PSU isn't fantastic but with AGP 2x/4x there's no uber power hungry cards available I don't think. You should be okay there, what graphics card do you have in there at the minute? Dells aren't known to be the easiest things to upgrade I must say.
 
A GeForce4 MX 420 graphics card with 64MB of DDR SDRAM, is the present card. Device manager says it is in PCI bus1, will an AGP fit? I'm a little confused by the acronyms but I want to do this myself rather than a shop do it. Thanks for the previous reply and hope you can help me further. Regards
