hi,using win 7 64,ati 5770,connected dell monitor using hdmi,was working fine,till i updated to ati new driver,since then in a couple of days or so,my dell's edid has been corrupted,now it only shows 640x480 resolution,manually changed resolution to full hd using ati catalyst,desktop is fine but all the installed games will not go above 640x480,so made my other lcd tv samsung LA46B530 my primary display n playing games on full hd resolutions .is there any way i can fix the corrupted edid on my own.went to dell site entered my service tag,says invalid,although i just got this dell monitor 3 months or so ago.it is going to be very difficult to explain to the morons who will come to check out the monitor if i lodge a complain,since to them the monitor will seem to be working fine.and i did a clean win 7 install too,just to check if it was win 7 problem,no luck,after much researching found out this edid is the culprit.any help advice would be much appreciated.thank you.
