difference between Gainward 8800GTS 640MB and POV 8800GTS 640MB?

I'm still (I like to take my time :p) picking components for my new computer.

I am likely to go with a 8800GTS 640MB ... and I have two options:
- Gainward 8800GTS 640MB at €438,00
- POV 8800GTS 640MB at €369,00

As you can see, this is the same card, but with a €70 price difference! Is there any reason for this, or do both cards perform about the same? I'd like to pick the cheapest of course, but I was wondering if there was perhaps any reason for the price difference that isn't clear from the specs (extras like HMDI etc. don't really matter that much to me, just raw performance... and low noise/heat levels).
 
Gainward is a better known name, has an overclocking reputation (it may even come overclocked out of the box), and may come with a better accessory bundle. I don't know without knowing the models in question.

These days, companies typically use a reference design and go with that.
 
Yeah, outside of the bling-red Gainward has, I couldn't tell you the difference between those cards. Unfortunately, Gainward's site is having some problems with the link Komplett is referencing, so I'm unable to confirm anything. However, if you're just looking for the card and don't really care about extras, the PoV 8800GTS is going to be just as good as the Gainward.
