Hi, i got some new DVD-RW discs, but the thing is, i hardly touch the data surface, yet there so damnd dirty and scratched on the data side, i have a NEC DVD-RW, could this be scratching and getting crap on my DVD's?

i only use RW discs[ot]so they can be reused[/ot]i usually clean them by rubbing them (data side) on my top (shirt)

i guess it could be possible that your burner could be scraching discs (as the discs spin up or spin down) you could always try cleaning them with Isopropel and an old towel

I was weary of opening this thread......lol

Yeah i think that could be a problem. Try cleaning the tray you put the DVD's on.

Hmmm will do, i dont like to rub DVD's on my shirt, i find that can scratch them too.

Is NEC known for making crap DVD drives though?

I knew someone would say that about the thread :p.
