    Hey everyone,
For the past few days when I turn my PC on or reboot I've been getting a message come up saying that "One of your disks needs to be checked for consistency... Press any key to skip"

I've had bad experiences with this in the past, where my HDD would be working fine and then after its run this check almost all the files on the HDD are corrupt and useless. This has happened to me twice now, on different HDD's, once on XP the other Vista.

Anyway is there a way of stopping Vista from trying to run this test, it comes up every time Vista loads and I have to be there to press a key to skip it. The HDD that it wants to check is a backup drive with no Windows files on it.

    Thanks for any help,

    GlobalKilla
