I'll only read the manual when i get stuck on a particular feature like PictBridge with my camera and jumper settings with motherboards.
Depends on what it is. I read the manual for motherboards, but everyone should do that when they build PCs. Apart from that the occasional Linux man files for programs.
Like addis said, "Depends on what it is" Again, I always read m/b manuals. motorbike service manuals. Electrical diagrams. Cameras, especially digital ones. But i love photography so id read them for fun! But cd rom manuals, games and programs, printers and most not to do with computers..... nerrr I'll wait till im stuck.
Depends on what it is. I'm pretty religious when reading motherboard manuals, given that I tend to try out a different company every time. OTOH, stuff like video cards and other peripherials, I generally ignore.
Motherboard manuals I read thoroughly, other stuff I generally don't, like when I got my camera, I figured out how to work everything within a couple of minutes so didn't really see the point in reading the manual.
Only for the motherboard when I built my computer. I know some people who daren't do anything without reading the comlete manual first (what a waste of time).
my dads like that, i personally would rather steam on in a get it working by the tim my dads got to page 5, i only ever read manuals if there is something specific i want to know
