Suddenly my computer is telling me I don't have permission to save a file in a certain folder. That i should see the administrator to obtain permission. But I am the sole user and admistrator of this computer! What gives?

I'm assuming you are using Win XP. Are you using an account with administrator privelieges? If not then were you able to save to that directory before? If so then your hard-drive may be corrupted/infected. Check it with scandisk and a virus program and see if that shows anything up. Of course it may be just Windows fault, again. I've never been able to make any sense of XP's permissions system.
