ok, on my stock inel heatsink/fan, can i mount an 80mm fan over it, or tie wrap an 80mm fan to the plastic fram of the stick intel fan. will it make my processor more cool, than just having the stock intel fan on its own? strap a 80mm fan onto the plastic frame of this sort of stock intel heatsink/fan?????????????????????
More expensive and better fans have a higher cfm rating so they will move more air per seocnd and will help cool better, and depending on the fan can reduce noise.
ah, anyway, i have tie wraped a 80mm fan onto of the cpufan/heatsink and it has helped, my computer shut down at 64 degrees this time, and this has ruled out that temperature is not the cause of shut down, as my computer is not overheating, becouse it has never shut down at 64 degree before becouse i have never had it at the temperature on games before, its usually 77-80 degrees last time it shut down, so i am thinking it could be the power supply, or possible a motherboard/cpu problem. i will put this post into the actualy computer shutting down thread cos this what i have said should go in there.
yeah thats very hot shouldnt get that high, mine used to max out at 40-45*C ad now maxes out at 35*C with my new cooler, try this for a new cooler: Arctic Freezer 4 (for socket478 motherboards) cheap and great cooling, exfoliate will aggree :good:
Hmmmmmm, I wonder. I'm going to post my temps, inclucing idle temps at 2100 RPM's, which is very qiuet.
