Drivers for Biostar M7NCD motherboard

I have a Biostar M7NCD (Nvidia chipset) motherboard that I'm trying to get the most recently updated drivers for. I've been on Biostar's website, and I see that the most current drivers they have there are dated March 2003. I went to the Nvidia website, and they have something called an Nforce Unified Driver as well as an Nvidia System Utility, both much more current than the software/drivers listed on the Biostar website. Would I be well advised to stick with the drivers listed on the Biostar site, or is it better to use the most current stuff from Nvidia's site?

Anyone have any experience with the Nvidia drivers from their site?
 
Yeah, nVidia's stuff works fine. However, if you're not having problems you're better off not updating your drivers.
 
I did install those nVidia drivers, and they seem to work fine. The reason for wanting to do all of this was my purchase of Doom 3 - I wanted all of the most current drivers on the system for optimal performance of the game. Even with the nVidia drivers though, I'm still finding the best performance to be in 640x480 mode with medium quality graphics. With my current setup (Biostar M7NCD, Athlon 2500+ 1.8 GHz, 512 meg DDR 2700 ram, and a PNY nVidia GeForce 5200 card with 128 meg DDR ram), should I be realizing better performance than that?

Your video card is what's holding you back, and is a very poor choice for gaming in general. The 5200 FX is a low-end, entry-level graphics chip, and it's simply not meant for gaming, especially something like D00M 3. You want at least something like a GeForce FX 5700 Ultra, or Radeon 9600 Pro as the slowest graphics you start with.
