I have several DVD MPEG Files on my Computer and i want to burn them onto a DVD and have that DVD be able to play in my DVD player but when i use Nero i dont know what DVD option to select so i always pick Burn DVD-Video Files, when i select the First file to be put onto the disk it says The file is Larger than 2GB and therefore cannot be store in an ISO file system. Please use UDF to write such large files, this can be done by selecting another compilation type. I need to know if 1) this is the right DVD format since there are so many 2) if i am doing it right How do i use the UDF? 3) will it work in a Standard DVD player?
Dont really know what you've got to do cos ive never had an mpeg-dvd file. Nero will only burn the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders so you may have to convert it to that format if you want to use nero.
Hmmmm, this one seems a bit of a puzzler. I use Nero to achieve what you have mentioned. I generally opt for the easy option, the wizard (Nero Express). File conversion for burning on to DVDs so that they can be played in a home DVD player has always been automatic. The only error messages that I might get are when the file to be burned's size exceeds the capacity of a single 4.7GB disk - then Nero tells you about this. You should have no trouble burning MPEGs to disk. Have you tried the Nero Express option?
I get a little box saying I need to purchase the nero tool to convert the files. I cant rememeber what it is called. I used a program to burn them to audio_ts and video_ts.
ok well this is exactly what i do....I first Rip the DVD to my computer with imTOO dvd ripper in the format of dvd video files (.vob,.ifo, and .bup) and after they all burn onto my computer there are all labled at Title_01, Title_02 and so on. but if i let it sit it will say title_01 and under that MPEG File and under that the size, so i dont know how to get them into Audio_ts and Video_ts but then i go into nero and click Burn DVD files (i dont even know if this is the right option, so if someone that burns DVD's knows could u tell me what u use and what u do) and it gives me the ISO file error and tells me to switch to UDF so i dont know what to do.
I believe what you would need from Nero is NeroVision Express, which does exactly that. It takes a video file and converts/burns it on a DVD. However, my experience hasn't been so great with it, so if your files are fairly smalls, you can do VCDs instead, which work great and which can be done natively in Nero. These will play in your DVD player. Also, I've never done it, but I believe modern DVD players can play mpeg files directly, just like mp3s, so you could look into that too.
Well i have NeroVision Express but the thing is i think i need to buy this $15.00 plug-in that would allow me to burn DVD's so if anyone knows any other free Burning software and where i can download it could u tell me becuase im sick of nero.
You can download these plug-ins that may or may not give you what you need. Anyway, they are free, so worth a try. Download Nero Mega Plugin Pack 1.0 - This Plugin Pack will give you more features than Enterprise Edition - Softpedia
Hey thanks that DVD Decrypter thing is all i needed, now i just need Dual Layer DVD-r's so they can hold the huge amounts that that thing burns them into lol when ever i copy a movie it about 7 or 8 gig's but when i do get them nero is gonna let me burn them and i didnt even need the patch
DVD Shrink can fit Dual Layers on single layer DVDs, and on CDs too as a matter of fact. It's also entirely free.
