Hey guys, Please excuse my lack of technical knowledge. My Seagate H/D wasn't registering so I decided to take the "bit off the end" (where I connect the USB cable) in the hope it was a problem with that bit of hardware. I took "that piece" off my external WD drive and put it on my seagate drive and it seems to work.....(although vista thinks its a WD drive). Now that I have identified the problem I need to know what "that piece" is called! so I can order another one. I would like to know where I can order from too! Thanks! Mike
