I cant seem to find the answer currently i have a geforce 5500oc 256mb pci video card in my main comp and I just buaght 4 more AMD slotA 650~900mhz cpu computers but the only problem i am having is with finding a video card.I have a agp4x slot and 5 pci slots heres where my new problem begins which is better? which is faster? I am heavily into overclocking and want the fastest gpu and memoryclock avialble for pci or agp4x video cards can someone help me with this? also if you know of any other slotA type motherboards that have ither a 8x agp slot and or 1-2GB ram capacity please let me know thank you. the main purpose of this is for gaming yes i know the system specs are outdated i am currently working on a a8n-sli deluxe that i have had since they came out but never got around to building it.
agp is going to much much better for anything graphics related http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814143046 that's the absolute best for agp 4x. AGP is pretty dead though, PCI-E has taken over as the new video card interface with optional SLI which uses two video cards simultaneously
WOW i didnt know that Nvidia had a 7800 that is comatible with a 4x agp slot thanks alot ninja fetus.
yeah but it requires a beastly power supply and if the rest of your rig isn't up to date it will be the bottleneck for performance
