Final Fantasy XII

Hey, would like to know what people think of Final Fantasy XII. I've not yet got it, although i have played a demo and it seems quite different to the others in the series.

I am a big FF fan and new this would be different but does it work well, or do you think the old style was better. Personally one of the things I came to excpect from an FF game was the fighting system and really enjoyed playing it, a little gutted they changed it but does it make an impact?
 
honestly its being made by the team who made tactics, i'm really worries, not that they are a bad team but, i think the story might end up something like FF X or something, i'm worried, i haven't played it ether
 
Blah they should come out with another FF in a FF7 or 8 type time period im tired of the old ancient time setting of 10and 11 its really getting old (in my opinion) take no offense
