i have 2 front panel usb 2.0 ports, and 1 front panel firewire. With my motherboard, i recived more avialble firewire and usb2.0 ports to connect to the mobo. I noticed that with the firewire, the one extending from the case is seperated into i believe 7 or 8 seperate wires. The white wire is split into like 2, and the ground black wire is split into 2 as well. the firewire that came on a bracket with the mobo, is much easier to understand. its one monolithic connector. i tried to see if i can match up the colors of the wires on the combined wire connector on the bracket, with the one with single wires, but seems they both contain 2 different colors, like different shade of blue, and a pink. How do i know which wire goes onto which header, can somebody give me a diagram on how to arrange each individual wire on the firewire cable, to put onto the 1394 header? pictures or drawings would really help, thx

I think there should be a diagram with the mobo manual?

You'll have to match each pin and wire up correctly. It's unfortunate, but there's been a few companies that have a different pin-out, and this is the option some case companies have taken.
