Im putting linux on the laptop with win 2000 on. Usually I just reformat drives with the windows disc but the linux disc doesnt have that option. So HOW THE HELL do i format my hard drive?? I made an MS-DOS boot disc and tried to format off it and it sed bad commeand so i added format.con to the disc and then it says this file cannot be opened in MS-DOS( r something along them lines) Any ideas how I can format??
Its okay in the end i put my windows cd back in and ran that like i was going to install windows 2000 but after the install rather than rebooting to the windows 2000 disc i booted to my linux one
