Dell may eventually switch to AMD chips as they've gone so far as to overclock a Pentium, which is really unheard of for an OEM like Dell, and the fact that they've been selling AMD CPU's. I don't think Dell has been pleased with Intel's lackluster performance, or how Intel tends to go with what they want, not what their customers (motherboard companies, OEMs, etc) want. While there's nothing morally wrong with this policy, if Intel continues to ignore it's consumer base, they could be digging their own grave.
