OK another rant at a supplier. I ordered a Zalman HP-080-0M Silent VGA Cooler & i also ordered the optional extra of the Zalman Silent 80mm VGA cooling fan. I phoned one of the technicians, asked if it would work on a 6600GT, he said "yes this will work with a 6600GT - it's literally the only one that will" anyhow, i get it a few weeks back, got round to installing it last night, after smearing the thing with bloody litres of thermal compound as instructed by the manual and diagrams it turns out that it WONT fit my 6600GT. so i've thrown it in my "spare parts/scraps" box in my cupboard The reason this really REALLY annoys me is i now have 2x 80MM SilenX Case fans 1xintake 1xexhaust in my computer, along with a silent PSU, and a silent hard drive bay. Using www.mcsquared.com i worked out that the overall noise level in DBa of my computer is 18DB when i don't have my 6600GT cooler on -problem being the card overheats once it hits windows. 18DB!!! And that 18DB is if i have my ear next to the back of my case :O So litearlly i have a SILENT PC!!! except my graphics card (which is @ 24DB) argh! - but thats an annoying scratching 24DB!
