I am going to be building a new pc now, and one for my brother when he gets the money. His money will be ready in about early may of this year. Does anybody have any idea of any brand new cutting edge tech coming out at that time or will it just be cheaper stuff than we have now?
In other words, are there gonna be any brand spankin new cards from nvidia or ati?
I assume amd will still be running socket 939, so will the fx-57 be out by then.
And any thoughts about future of sli?

I suspect that Nvidia and ATI will have released some form of new card, although not entirely sure they will have released a new range..

As for motherboards, i highly doubt 939Pin will be going anywhere for awhile, and i have high hopes for the release of the AMD64 5000+ and 57 (atleast).

Memory prices i suspect will be not to different to where they are at the moment, as DDR2 is being brought out, so not many new releases or competition will be within the DDR1 market.

As for graphics cards prices i suspect that the AGP cards will have dropped in price compared to PCIe, PCIe is (at the moment) usually cheaper than AGP, merely to entice hardware buyers to purchase new motherboards, memory and other components.

Although i'm pretty sure someone else will correct me with actual statistics and facts, this is merely my purely opinionated predicition.
