Galaxy PSU, no MOV, enough to pass on it?

I am planning building a very high end systems with Intel Quad CPU, 8800GTX, 4GB ram, etc.

I did a lot of research and I was happy with the Galaxy until I read :
Enermax Galaxy 1000 W Power Supply | Hardware Secrets
The only flaw we can say about this product is the absence of a MOV (Metal-Oxide Varistor), which is a transient filter, on its input filter.

How significant is this MOV? Is it too risky to use a PSU without it on such high end system?

Can I just get a surge protector or something?

Is this enough not to get this PSU? Should spend a little more and get the PC Power & Cooling Turbo-Cool?

I know, LOTS of questions but please answer any of them.

It's a surge supressor, basically. If you have a surge protector (which is always recommended) then it's not an issue.
