ok so i've installed a few games and its all the same problem after about 2 minutes of game play it starts freezing, repeatedly, for example 1 minute of game play 10 seconds of freezing 30 seconds of gameplay 30 seconds of freezing and it go's on, but generally the music stills plays unless it freezes for a decent amount of time. So i've come to the conclusion that it is a hardwware issue, a note i just built computer and everything else seems to work fine also i have the latest video driver

Sounds a lot like a powersupply issue to me. Coolmax doesn't have a terribly impressive rep and this is really a common sympton of inadequate power of some sort. I mean 500wts is more than enough to power you rig but you may have poor rails or just a defective powersupply all together. I'm no pro but that's my take.

yeah i guess thats a possibility, but i would make more sense if it restarted, but i'll check the amps per each rail. other than that i have no clue why this would be happening

Try borrowing another power supply and see if problem goes away? Maybe you can just go "buy" a really good one at your local best buy or whatever and just return it after u test with it? I dunno, is that allowed? If it is, that's what i'd try.

yeah i have a 500w power supply in my other computer as well as a guy i know can probably have one swapped out real quick and what not then i'll have to check back
also i just checked around and i think i'll run memtest as it could be an issue with my sata raptor so i might need a driver to
    thanks for any help

No problem, it can't hurt to try another psu but a strong big brand name one would be ideal for testing.
