I purchased a Microsoft Sidewinder under the advise that it would work ok with my PC and OS [XP] but alas it didn't. I've recently got broadband and have been experimenting with some online gaming through MOHAA Spearhead and am getting slaughtered because of my clumsiness with a keyboard - CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A GAMEPAD THAT WORKS WITH XP & THE MEDAL OF HONOUR TITLES PLEASE?
    Thanks

    gamepads...yuck.

Mouse and keyboard for me any day.

There are adapters available that allow PS2 controllers to be used. Perhaps you are more comfortable using one of those?

Hehe you can mod a PS1 controller into a PC compatible game pad with a soldering tools and a parrallel port connector.

Man, I haven't used a pad except for consoles, however, you might look at a Microsoft Sidewinder or possibly something from Logitech. It's been a long time since I've used something other than a keyboard and mouse for my gaming needs, so I don't know about the current crop of pads, and I'm just going by what I've experienced in the past.

Thing is you just wouldn't have the precision and speed with a game controller as you would with a mouse when plying an FPS game. Its easier to make a headshot with a mouse than a smal joystick on a pad. Racing games are better with a pad or wheel on PC though and so flight sims.
