Digital Rights Management (DRM), which is used to stop copying, is a big issue for some people who feel it limits what they can do with legally bought files. "DRM is not where it should be," said Mr Gates, reported blogger Steve Rubel. Duh. While the music and movie industries should have the right to stop pirates, the fact is DRM is extremely limiting. Add to that, consumers aren't sure what their rights are anymore and there's issues. One step certain industries need to take is not going in with the assumption that all consumers are criminals.
Yeah, that's rich coming from him considering Vista is loaded with DRM. I have never bought an mp3 because of DRM. I'd rather do things the good 'ol fashion way and buy a CD, then rip it.
