I am useing a techaid diagnostic card that plugs into any pci slot to trouble shoot a problem. When I turn the computer on the techaid reads that the power supply is good. The first error code that it giveing to me is " EE-Start looking for diskette in drive A: and read 1st sector of the diskette. When I put a diskette in and then turn the computer off and the back on again. The techaid then gives a error code that says " 66-dma unit 1 and 2 programming over. To initialize 8259 interrupt controller." Could the motherboard be bad or something different. If anybody has an answer PLease help. Note: When I turn the computer on there is no post beep or any video on the screen. Thank You
I have checked the monitor with another computer and works fine. The post codes that I am showing are the ones in the manual that I have. It does not explain alot on what they mean. Do you think by see the post code errors that I have show, their could be something wrong with the motherboard. Do you think by looking on the web, I could get a better explaination about the post errors. Please reply Thank You
Find out the make of your motherboard and the model number, then contact the motherboards support line, asking for referance as to your posting problem and what it means.
