    hey all!
I am helping a friend out with her cpu and she has windows ME on her computer. (it's a HP)
Anyhow, i turned it on and i keep getting a error message saying input signal out of range (power management)
Does this mean my monitor is to "high tech" for her computer? I can go into the Bios and pop in a recovery disk and my monitor works, it is just when the windows ME load s up that error message pops up and times me out.
Anyone havea clue? I though maybe it was her battery.. on the motherboard, but i am not sure..hELP
    thanks
My last resort is to bring it to work to switch monitors. email me at [email protected] or post it on here. Thanks :

When it says signal is out of range its because the graphics card is producing a signal funnily enough "out of range" for the monitor. You can boot up in safe mode and try to uninstall her graphics card drivers or install some newer ones. Post back with any results.
