Graphics Media Accelerator?

In my search for a laptop <14" with a decent video card, I have come across many different video cards. I've found a few with something like this:

Hybrid Graphic System: NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 7400 with TurboCache™ supporting 128MB7 and Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 with 128MB dynamically allocated shared (RAM/Video) memory

From what I've heard, the added graphics media accelerator only makes the video card less powerful. What is the benefit to having a GMA?

Well to be honest I've never heard of a hybrid. It's probably just a way to save on battery life as if you're not gaming or doing hardcore video chores it will just use the integrated chipset, like if you were using Windows Media Player. But the 7400 will kick in if you start to game. Just a guess. I doubt it would hurt having two, I would highly doubt they'd be running at the same time.
