I got a 80GB IDE Hard disk drive(Westen Digital _ WD800BB) & I am using it as a external drive. Since tomorrow I found out that the hard disk is not showing in My Computer(Using XP SP2)Also not detected by the BIOS. .I plugged it for several times but nothing happened but I can here it Spins. I am connecting it through the USB port. I got it to a com. Shop to check it.They told it was dead and cannot be recovered. That is the most dreadful thing I ever heard. I got so many projects in it.(PS, Premier, Flash ,Dreamweaver ,3D s max , & lots of JAVA programs.) 75GB of above programs. Is there any possibility to recover those files.I badly need them.Please help. ThankYou, From Sri Lanka.
Is this a desktop or laptop ? you might be able to get the info off it, you just need some special hardware and then you will have to piggy back it from another computer...Well this is how I do it..It works for me..
