hard drive problem

    recently my pc had a black out, i managed to install dos and get an os working.I had a 20gb hard disk (sea gate) and NOW it only has 2gb overall compacity :confused: when it should be 20gb.i want to restore it to 20gb again but i dont know how to . if any one can help please reply! thanks.

    If your running DOS off it, i doubt DOS has large disk support, especially 20GB!

    Thats the problem as pelvis said. DOS uses FAT file system and that doesn't support drives that large. In the days of DOS hard drives were rarely in GBs.

    yeah some format's dont recognise HDD's over 2GB so they set it at 1.99 or "GB or something, try using a different format.
