I recently wanted to upgrade my home desktop, I was going to do my own build, however, i got a good deal on a returned Dell precision, paid 800 bucks for the following :

    1 Precision Workstation T1500 Mini-Tower
1 Processor: Intel Quad Core i7-860 Processor
1 C1 All SATA drives, No RAID for 1 Hard Drive
    1 Genuine Windows 7 Professional
    1 Optical 2-Button Mouse
    1 1394 IEEE Adapter Card
    1 Software
1 80 GB SATA Hard Drive (7200 RPM)
    1 4 GB DDR3 NON-ECC SDRAM 1066MHz (2 DIMMs)
    1 Software
    1 64BIT Operating System DVD
    1 16X DVD +/- RW w/dbl layer write capability
    1 256MB ATI FirePro V3750, DUAL MON, 2 DP & 1 DVI
    1 Thermal Module Heatsink,95W
    1 USB Multimedia Keyboard

I am using the computer for Development, I am not an IT guy by any means. The only thing I'm not happy with about this is the HD situation , I have about 50 gig of OS and Development Software ... I don't think this is going to work long term for me

My question basically is "C1 All SATA drives, No RAID for 1 Hard Drive" >?

Does this mean I am not going to be able to run two drives ?

Whats better ? An Development 80gig SSD Drive an a 1Tb 7200 for everything else or two 1tb 7200's in Raid 0 ?

Either way I will need to have multiple HD's, so what do I need to get to enable RAID on this machine ( anyone familiar with how DELL does this, i'm sure it is not motherboard based as they would have to have a multitude of motherboards)?

    Thanks in Advance
