HD5870 vs HD6870 for Starcraft 2

Hi,

I'm currently in the market for a new GPU. Budget is around $350 max, but I'd like to save money if I can. I play a few games, and plan on continuing to play new releases, but the only one I'm concerned about running at decent FPS while maxed out is Starcraft 2, since its this game that will consume most of my gaming time.

My current setup:

q9550, stock speed
DG43NB motherboard/chipset by intel
4GB 800mhz DDR2 RAM by Corsair
600W PSU by Corsair I think

Please note that I wont be overclocking my new GPU.

I was initially looking at the gtx470 but the insane running temperatures scared me, particularly since my computer doesnt have an extravagant cooling system. I then shifted my focus to the HD5870 and HD6870. After googling around a bit, it seems that the HD5870 is a faster card than the HD6870, but also more expensive. I'll be making my purchase online from either amazon.com or newegg.com, and on those sites, I can get the HD6870 for as much as $50-$100 cheaper. Why is the HD5870 so much more expensive? Is the extra cost justified by increased performance or any other factors?

Also, how do the running temperatures and power consumption of these two cards compare? Will my PSU be able to handle them?

So there you have it. I want the best bang for the buck card that can run Starcraft 2 on ultra without issues. At this point I feel I'm probably going to end up with either the 5870 or the 6870, but I still haven't decided.

Thanks!
