Help, graphics card problem!

I started my first build today. I think I have everything connected correctly, but this is my first problem. I put my X800XL into my PCI-E mobo, I turned on the computer and I'm getting a message and the computer is beeping. The message says "The video card is not properly connected to the power supply, please refer to the manual". The card didn't come with a cable to connect to the PSU. On top of that, my PSU only has 4 pin connectors and the GPU needs a 6 pin connector. I thought the PCI-E version of this card didn't need to be connected to the PSU.
 
IF the card doesn't have a power connector on it, then there should be a molex or PCIe connector on the motherboard itself, like This.
But if the card does have a PCIe connector on it, then you'll need a new PSU or a Molex-PCIe adapter.
 
Damn, ok, my mobo doesn't have one of those connections. I guess I'll have to get a 6-pin to molex adapter. Thanks for your help.
 
I have no way of posting a pic. I looked on Newegg, and the pictures of the card that I bought don't show a 6 pin connector. It's the ATI X800XL for $279. I have a 450W PSU so I'm ok there. I've been checking around and I guess other people have this problem too, the card is supposed to come with an adapter.
