    1) i got my new computer and decided to set up a wireless network - so i installed a wireless router and an ordinary network card in my old computer and a wireless network card in my new one- i installed the drivers via the software cd on my new computer and it came up with a windows xp error, giving me the choice to either continue anyway or stop installation - so i chose continue anyway (just like the manual stated what should be done if this happenned) - windows than went into a sort of BIOS screen and said windows has recovered from a critical error and the computer restarted but didnt go into windows.

Luckliy i had a tool that allows me to recover windows from scratch, which took me ages to do - and waddya know it still didnt go into windows but gave me options of 1)safe mode 2)safe mode with networking 3)last known good configuration that worked and 4)safe mode with command propt. i tryed all of them but all it did was go round in circles coming to the same screen again and again - never booting into windows - i uninstalled all the extra hardware that i added since i got the computer - still nothing.

    2) Also when my computer did work i installed far cry and the graphics were screwed up - alot of the ground thats suppossed to be green was black and the water effects were crap without refraction or anything - i installed the latest drivers for my gpu - but still nothing. i have an 6800gt 1gb ram and athlon 64 3000 + i dont think its the monitor cause i tryed a different one and the same thing happenned - btw deus ex 2 worked perfectly! dunno about hl2 cause i wasnt connected to the internet.

PLEASE GUYS, IF YOU CAN HELP ME - HELP!!! - UR MY ONLY HOPE OF EVER REVIVING MY COMPUTER!!!!!!! - THANKS ALOT IN ADVANCE

If this is a NEW computer i would highly recommend taking this back to the person that built it for you, or the company that you brought the computer from.

All new products come with a 12 month guarantee - whether or not they say otherwise - UK Law.

If you built it yourself or family did or a friend - if they have more knowledge than yourself ask them to sort it..

personally it sounds to me like your powersupply isn't providing enough voltage to the relevant rails(not enough power) or your hard drive is faulty.

    Try a better powersupply.
