help please

i cannot play any games on my pc as iy keeps coming up, c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications,chose close to terminate the application.This is driving me mad does anyone konw what i can do?????????

Or if penguins way doesnt work, open up notepad type nothing and call it autoexec.nt then save it to c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt

thanks but can you explain it in more detail as when i go to save it i can see file name - save as type-encoding
