I'm using dvdsanta to convert .avi files into watchable DVD files (mpeg2 i think). I converted and burnt 1 successfully to a dvd-rw, this played no problem on my standard xbox. I then tried to write over with a different dvd to the same DVD-RW and it wouldn't play on my xbox. I Incd erased and formated, then tried again to burn the dvd. Still wouldn't play on xbox, tried to play it on MS media player, Nero etc and it would come up with an error. After i manually opened up the file i could bypass the files with the error and play the dvd. So i thought it must just be an error with the dvd file i was trying to burn, so i resorted to the dvd file that worked, burnt it back on to DVD-RW (after erasing disk). Now this 1 won't play on xbox??? Could it be the DVD-RW, it was new before i burnt the 1st successful DVD file. When dvdsanta has finished converting the files it says the disc is not empty, even though i've erased/formated it. So the only way i can get it to burn is in Nero and it instructs me that there are still files on the disc and it will erase them before the burn??? Really starting to annoy me now...spent hours on it! I'm using a DVD-RW because i didn't want waste dvd-r's on mess ups as i did previously. Rory
I think it might be corrupted as it worked the first time? have you tried using another DVD-RW disc from a different company?
